Honestly, I would have never purposely made a visit to Osaka Sushi because it seemed like just one out of the hundreds of Japanese restaurants in Vancouver. But because the location is close to my workplace, I dropped by one day for lunch when I was craving sushi!
Appetizer Sashimi ($7.95):
The salmon was pretty good; adequately smooth and buttery in texture. The tuna was a bit mushy though.
Osaka Special Roll ($13.95):
Deep fried California roll with chopped scallop and fish roe on top. There was a nice textural contrast between all the different components. This wasn’t a very healthy roll but the deep fried goodness sure gave me motivation to get through the work day.
Osaka Sushi is not a bad option for the area that it’s in. I had a comfortable dining experience and service was friendly. They also have a very large selection of specialty rolls to suit everyone’s tastebuds.
