It actually took me quite a long time before I made the trip to Icepik Shavery! There is a benefit to that though – I don’t have to go into a cramped store and wait for free space. Icepik serves snow cream, which is a mix between Hawaiian shaved ice and ice cream, so I was expecting it to be extremely light and fluffy.
Combo 5 – Cool Mint Blast:
Mint snow cream with oreo crumble, chocolate chips, rice balls, and tapioca pearls. My favourite ice cream flavour is mint chocolate chip so obviously I had to order this combo! This was indeed very fluffy in texture and I do prefer this to regular shaved ice. It tasted sufficiently minty but I thought it was very interesting eating minty glutinous rice balls…
Icepik Shavery is a small place but when I went there wasn’t a large crowd so I was able to enjoy my dessert comfortably. Portion size did seem a bit small for the price but generally, desserts in Vancouver do have higher prices.
