Denny’s: Can’t Go Wrong with Breakfast Food!

I love to eat typical breakfast food during lunch and dinner, but not really during actual breakfast time! Is that weird? Well, I guess the good thing that comes out of that is that I don’t have to deal with a large crowd at chains such as Denny’s. So when I was craving scrambled eggs and sausages for lunch, we headed over to Denny’s for instant gratification with no wait time! :)

I saw that this was a “new” addition to the menu, so of course I had to try it since I love chili! However, the chili at Denny’s was… disappointing. Dried, crusty around the edges, and obviously not cooked for long enough. It was also not very heavily spiced but the portion was humongous for the price! I’ll still probably pass on this in the future… Served with a piece of bread that I believe was some type of sourdough.

Sausage Slam:

Two sausage links, two eggs, hash browns and two buttermilk pancakes. Your typical breakfast fare and you know that you will never be disappointed by it :) The taste is pretty standard and it’s not like the quality is exceptional, but you don’t go to Denny’s expecting gourmet breakfast food anyways! Portions are not bad and I was satisfied after this meal.

Pancakes. These were surprisingly light and fluffy! These are sure to fill you up though if the other items didn’t.

I don’t have much to say about Denny’s. It’s been around for decades and you know what to expect when you walk in. The food obviously isn’t exceptional but sometimes you just get those random cravings and you know that Denny’s will always hit the spot!
